For those of you who are Instagram or Facebook followers, this is the post I referred to in my video about the December challenge. For those of you who are blog readers, this is the follow up to my previous post (HERE).
The challenge is up and running, but it’s never too late to jump in! I’m running my program from December 1-21, 2022, so if you want to join, we’d love to have you. All the info is HERE.
So, why the Nutritional Frontiers kit? Number one is that it’s so easy. For this hectic time of year, I wanted to choose an easy kit that doesn’t require prep time, complicated rules, or even a whole lot of thought. Like everyone else, I’m running around like crazy, doing way too many things in way too little time. I love that I can take a scoop of Power Cleanse, a scoop of Pro Lean Greens, mix it up (seriously, I just throw the powders together with some ice and water and blend them), and I have a meal on the go. I can run out the door in less than 5 minutes, and I know I’m getting a proper balance of nutrients (macro and micro) as well as fiber and vitamins. These two formulations are also ensuring that my nutrients are bioavailable (containing probiotics, multiple digestive enzymes to handle all macro types, and methylated constituents), because if we eat healthy but our body can’t extract the nutrients and use them, then we won’t get the health benefits we expect.
Reason two: because we all eat so many goodies and treats this time of year, there’s less room for healthy meals, so we are increasing our toxin loads while we decrease the nutrients that help eliminate those toxins. Again, something quick that ensures I’m getting some good solid nutrition makes sense to me. And with what we know about the toxic effects of sugars and excess unhealthy fats- that we are going to eat anyway, because who can resist these treats that only come out around this time of year- boosting our bodies’ detox pathways just makes sense. Get rid of it after you’ve enjoyed it! The Power Cleanse contains a detox matrix in addition to all those macros, and the Pro Lean Greens is made of fruits and vegetables as well as fiber PLUS phase I and II liver detox ingredients, so we can bind those toxins and eliminate them naturally.
Reason three: well, good naturopaths are infamous for always talking about poop, so here we go. Reason three is that I love the fiber (Fibersol-2) contained in the Pro Lean Greens powder. Fiber makes us poop more, which eliminates more of the toxins that overload our liver and sit in our intestines (the longer it sits, the more toxins we re-absorb back into our systems). Pooping more, and more often, mitigates the deleterious effects of those cookies, fried foods, buttery mashed potatoes, pies, and whatever else we choose to indulge in a bit more over the next few weeks. Unlike a lot of other fibers, Fibersol-2 doesn’t cause the bloating and gas that often go along with increased fiber consumption. I’ve had some really uncomfortable bloating with several other fiber products (I feel like there’s a watermelon growing in my lower belly!), so this formulation really caught my eye. I know there will be holiday parties where I’ll be uncomfortably full after raiding the dessert table; I don’t need my fiber to make me more puffed out and uncomfortable!
Another reason is that these formulas are vegetarian, gluten free, nut free, soy free, dairy free… you get the point. The Pro Lean Greens (my source for extra fruits and veggies since I know I won’t be eating my 5-7 servings daily) is also herbicide free and pesticide free, so I’m not adding additional toxic chemicals to my body. I’ll be fighting increased loads already, plus lowered immune function from all that sugar and free radicals, so the cleaner the formula, the better.
My program consists of one scoop of each product a day, then clean eating for the remainder of meals, so we can enjoy those holiday treats without guilt and without weight gain and health loss. That’s it! Nothing complicated or too stressful. Who needs that, especially this time of year?!!
And I have to add the disclaimer that, because these formulas are supplements, statements about benefits have not been evaluated by the FDA, and that my posts are for informational purposes only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.
Join in and enjoy a healthier holiday season!
And, as always, I’m here for you! Reach out!
Blessings,
Melanie
